Apple hosted its live September event today (September 15, 2020) in which it unveiled a ton of new information. We know you are busy, so here is a recap of the event with a highlight of all the cool new things Apple is releasing this fall!
New Products
Apple announced the following new products and services today:
Apple Fitness+ - Coming late 2020
Apple One - Coming fall 2020
iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14 - Will be released tomorrow, September 16, 2020
Two new services that Apple is adding two their list of products are Apple One and Apple Fitness+. Apple One is a services that bundles all of their existing services (iCloud, Apple TV+, News, Apple Music, etc) and new services such as Apple Fitness+ into one subscription. This subscription can also be shared amongst families depending on the subscription chosen. The pricing model can been seen below.
The other new service is Apple Fitness+ which is a subscription based workout and exercise service offered by Apple. We suspect this to be similar to other workout subscriptions such as the Peloton App.
Pricing for Apple Fitness+ is starting at $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Apple is offering a 3 month free trial with the purchase of a new Apple Watch.
While there was mention of a new iPad and a new Watch, there was no mention of an iPhone 12. This is very weird as Apple releases a new phone every single fall.
There was also no mention of a new MacOS. However, not to panic, I imagine Apple will announce these to be released in late fall 2020. Meaning, it will be released for the start of the holidays.
These are the main highlights of Apple's event today. If you want to find out more information, you can watch the recap video from Apple on their website.
